How to cook?
Step 1: Rinse 1 cup Seeraga samba rice in a fine strainer and allow the rice to soak in a pot of water for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinsing and soaking prevents the rice from clumping, but also removes nutrients and some of the taste. Omit this step, if you prefer. Step 2: Pour 1 ¾ cup of cold water into a 1-qt. sauce pan and add 1 cup of Seeraga samba rice. One cup of uncooked rice yields about 3 cups of cooked rice. Place a tight-fitting lid on the sauce pan and cook it.
